The Ministry of Culture and Information Policy does not form lists of sites, access to which is proposed to be prohibited on the territory of Ukraine.
“The definition and publication of a list of sites that contain information that has signs of prohibited for distribution by the norms of Ukrainian legislation was carried out by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine, which today is in a state of suspension of a legal entity as a result of its liquidation,” the Ministry of Culture said.
In 2017, the Ministry of Information Policy published a list of 20 separatist and pro-Russian sites recommended for ban in Ukraine. In 2018, the department sent the SBU a new list of 21 sites.
The Ministry of Information Policy was created in 2014 and liquidated in 2019 due to the merger into the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports of Ukraine. This department, in turn, was reorganized in 2020 into the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine.
