WhatsApp developers have started testing new features in Messenger. They may appear on your phone later this year.
According to WABetaInfo, the developers of the messenger are preparing to add many improvements: improved video and voice calls, improved backup of chat history, easier contact management, improved stickers, as well as various bug fixes.
The feature that should help users not to miss group calls. In other words, WhatsApp will be able to join a group call that has already started. Users will be able to connect to started calls if for some reason they are unable to answer the call at the beginning of the conversation.
It is unclear when the above changes will appear in the application.
