Rosatom and other legal entities under their control are subject to sanctions in Ukraine. We call on all states to also take such a step to stop the illegal activities of this company. We appeal to our international partners, including the EU and its member states, to include representatives of the Russian nuclear industry in the next package of sanctions,” the Minister’s address reads.

Halushchenko stressed that the Russian Federation, as a country that resorts to nuclear terrorism, should be completely deprived of the privileges and rights of membership in the IAEA in accordance with the organization’s charter.
“We call on the international community, including the IAEA, not to take steps (this also applies to the exchange of information and technology) that in one way or another could legitimize the illegal presence of Russian military or civilian personnel at the facility,” the minister added.
He noted that Putin’s “decree” to create a separate legal entity for the alleged operation of the ZNPP is a violation of international law and the basic principles of nuclear safety. According to Halushchenko, after the occupation of ZNPP, Russia will steal nuclear and radioactive materials from the plant.
Recall
Yesterday, October 5, Putin signed a “decree” on the transfer of the Zaporizhzhia NPP under the control of Russia. According to media reports, Rosatom has already appointed its “director” at the occupied power plant.
