The Russian occupiers have forcibly taken more than 1.6 million Ukrainians to Russia. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during an address to the American people .

The President noted that the majority had taken away documents, a large number of deportees had gone through the terrible filtration camps of the occupiers, where they were bullied and intimidated.
Zelenskyy stressed that Russia is trying to turn Ukraine into its colony, as it was before, during empires. However, Ukraine will win because millions of Ukrainians stood up for freedom and their state, and will not allow Russia to return that old unfair time.
