Russian troops abandon their heavy armored vehicles during a retreat or surrender. More than 50% of the tank fleet of the Armed Forces of Ukraine consists of equipment captured from the Russian army. This was reported by UNN with reference to the Twitter of the UK Ministry of Defence.

“Captured Russian equipment now makes up a significant share of Ukraine’s military equipment. Presumably, since the invasion, the Armed Forces have captured at least 440 Russian main battle tanks and about 650 other armored vehicles. More than half of the tank fleet, which is now in Ukraine, consists of trophy vehicles,” the message says.
Details
As noted, the fact that the Russians could not destroy intact equipment before fleeing indicates a low level of training and combat discipline.
With Russian formations under intense tension in several sectors and demoralized troops, Russia is likely to continue to lose heavy weapons.
