President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy took part in the Montenegrin Security Forum. During his speech, he voiced five steps that are necessary today to ensure security .

“Analyzing the elements of the Russian war against our state and the concrete steps of the aggressor, we can conclude what forms and methods of protection we need for the sake of security,” the Head of State said.

Unity, democracy, independence, weapons and responsibility – these are the five points that will stop the aggressor.
Zelenskyy stressed that Russia is afraid of the unity of the countries.

“The current leaders of Russia do not recognize the results of elections and popular movements when they lose influence because of them. And they try to arrange coups or corrupt the political process when they choose for themselves some kind of puppet who will represent their interests.
All European states should dismantle any Russian networks of influence. So that there is no spread of disinformation, corruption and criminal policy,” the President said, speaking of the importance of democracy.
Zelenskyy once again stressed that Russia is a threat not only to Ukraine, but to everyone.
“Therefore, everyone must achieve complete independence from Russia so that it cannot turn its dependencies into shackles: economic dependencies, energy, political – any,” Zelenskyy is sure.
He also added that the Russian leadership has felt impunity for its crimes for many years and this needs to be changed.

“For many years, the leader of Russia and his entourage felt complete impunity. They carried out a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, because they do not believe that the world will be able to hold them accountable not only for the crime of aggression against a sovereign state, but also for any crime imaginable.
So to hold them accountable is to guarantee the long-term peace after this war. The inevitability of punishment is one of the key principles of criminal justice. And we must apply this principle to the Russian leadership as it deserves,” Zelenskyy told the forum participants.
