President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting on the restoration of communications and energy supply damaged by Russian rocket attacks on Monday morning. According to the Office of the President, the Head of State heard the report of Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko on the damage caused to Ukrainian infrastructure by Russian air attacks.
Halushchenko informed about the measures taken to restore electricity supply and the timing of repair work. It was noted that in the vast majority of the affected regions of Ukraine, light will appear by the end of the day.
At the same time, the participants of the meeting stressed the importance of a temporary reduction in electricity consumption during peak network load hours – from 17:00 to 22:00.
To reduce the load on the power system and reduce the need for emergency outages, citizens are asked not to use the most energy-consuming devices at a specified time, namely: electric heaters, boilers, electric stoves, microwave ovens, washing and dishwashers, electric kettles, coffee makers, irons, etc. If necessary, these devices are best used at lunchtime, added to the OP.
In addition, during the meeting, it was noted that the State Emergency Service of Ukraine accepts requests from local communities to organize the power supply of important facilities using diesel generators.
