The mobilized Russians are almost certainly equipped even worse than the previously sent Russian troops to war in Ukraine, according to another report by the British Ministry of Defense on the basis of intelligence .

“Over the past two weeks, contingents of mobilized Russian reservists have been deployed to the Ukraine. Their average level of personal equipment is almost certainly lower than the already poor provision of previously deployed troops,” British intelligence said.

The British Ministry of Defense notes that many Russian reservists will probably have to buy bulletproof vests themselves.
At the same time, it is noted that in 2020 the Russian authorities announced that the Russian military had delivered 300,000 sets of Ratnik bulletproof vests, “which is enough to equip the forces currently stationed in Ukraine.”
“Widespread corruption and poor logistics remain one of the main reasons for Russia’s low efficiency in Ukraine,” British intelligence said.
