On October 17, law enforcement officers found the 26th victim of the shooting by the Russian military of a convoy of cars in the Kharkiv region – a 19-year-old boy. The tragedy occurred on September 25 near the village of Kurilovka, Kupyansk district. This was reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General in Telegram .

According to preliminary data, after the shooting of a car convoy, he, wounded, walked about 1.5 km and died in landing. The body of the deceased was sent for forensic examination.
It was also established that during the shooting, two children were rescued – a boy aged 1.1 years and a girl who is 5.5 years old. Their parents died. The children were saved by caring passers-by. The children are currently safe with their relatives, the department said.
Investigative actions are carried out within the framework of criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Initially, it was reported that as a result of the shelling of a convoy of seven cars by the occupiers between the villages of Kurilovka and Peschanoe, in the Kupyansk district, 24 people were killed, including a pregnant woman and 13 children.
On October 12, the body of another person killed in the shooting of a convoy of cars by Russian troops was discovered on September 25.
