As a result of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, at least 425 children were killed and more than 815 wounded. This was reported in Telegram by the Office of the Prosecutor General .

“As of the morning of October 18, 2022, more than 1240 children have suffered in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. The Prosecutor General’s Office noted that during the recording of crimes committed by the occupiers in the Donetsk region, the body of an 11-year-old boy with signs of violent death was found at the burial site in the village of Novoselivka, Kramatorsk district. Also at the burial site in the city of Lyman in the Donetsk region, the body of a 1-year-old girl with signs of violent death was found.
In addition, on October 17, a 12-year-old girl was wounded by the enemy shelling of the village of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region; in the village of Tavriyske, Zaporizhia region, a 12-year-old boy was wounded as a result of shelling by Russian troops; near the village of Dibrova, Izyum district, Kharkiv region, a 16-year-old boy stepped on an explosive device and was seriously injured.
It became known that on October 16, as a result of shelling of the village of Druzhelyubovka, Kharkiv region, a 16-year-old boy was wounded.
Children suffered the most in Donetsk region – 411, Kharkiv – 258, Kyiv – 116, Mykolaiv – 77, Zaporizhia – 69, Chernihiv – 68, Luhansk – 64, Kherson – 57, Dnipropetrovsk – 31.
Due to bombing and shelling by the Russian Armed Forces, 2663 educational institutions were damaged, 326 of them were completely destroyed.

A resident of Novooleksandrivka, liberated from the invaders in the Kherson region, said that her grandson was shot in the back by the Russian occupiers with a machine gun when the child went with her father for humanitarian aid.
