“The waste paper recycling process is repeated. The raw materials that are handed over are then processed into paper and cardboard products, which also serve as raw materials for the next batch of goods and packaging. That is why, thanks to the processing of waste paper, the plant really helps in preserving the environment,” the Kyiv CPC said.
At the same time, they noted that due to the peculiarities of recycling, even the most modern industries allow processing about 75% of used paper.
“During the processing of waste (waste paper – ed.) Inevitably, secondary waste appears – osprey, which can be used in the production of construction, thermal insulation and finishing materials, materials for landscape work, hydrolysis alcohol and biogas,” the plant explained.
Osprey belongs to low-hazard waste, but due to the significant humidity of the mass, it requires quite large storage areas. That is why, the Kyiv CPC stressed, one of the main goals of their enterprise in the field of waste management is to minimize the volume of osprey formation.
“The result of the introduction of a number of technological measures in 2021 was a decrease in the formation of waste paper osprey by 43.5%. The technology that allows the maximum use of cellulose fiber in production has been improved. In addition, waste paper osprey is a valuable raw material for the production of clinker and ceramic bricks,” the Kyiv CPC said.
Thus, as the plant explains, more than 70% of the total volume of waste generated last year for the production of cardboard and paper was used in the future, which significantly reduced the burden on the environment and is now the basis for a circular model of the economy.
