Russia has damaged at least half of Ukraine’s thermal generating capacity, but not all damaged power units have completely stopped working. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the words of the Minister of Energy of Ukraine Herman Halushchenko .
The damage from missile strikes and drone attacks is billions of dollars.
German Halushchenko said in an interview with Reuters that 30-40% of the country’s entire energy infrastructure suffered as a result of attacks, which, according to him, were aimed at destroying Ukraine’s energy system — a goal that, according to him, was not achieved.

“It’s pretty much power. I can tell you that it is… at least half of the thermal generation capacity, even more,” he said, answering a question about the scale of the losses.
“This week they struck a number of thermal power plants,” Halushchenko said, adding that as a result of these attacks, Ukraine lost 4000 MW of generating capacity.
Context
Since October 10, Russia has intensified its air attacks on Ukraine, using missiles and drones to strike critical infrastructure facilities, primarily at power plants.
