Despite the massive shelling of Ukraine, 86% of Ukrainians believe that it is necessary to continue armed resistance to Russia’s aggression. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the Kyiv International Institute of Sociology .

Only 10% of respondents said that it was necessary to move on to negotiations to stop shelling as soon as possible, even if they had to make concessions to Russia.
According to sociologists, despite the fact that the share of those who are ready for concessions is growing from west to east, in all regions the majority are of the opinion that armed resistance should continue. Even in the east, 69% of respondents share this opinion (this was answered by people who live in Kharkiv and Donetsk regions and are subjected to constant shelling).
Among the respondents who chose Russian for interviews, the vast majority (66%) also believe that armed resistance should be continued, even if the shelling continues. Only 29% believe that it is necessary to start negotiations, even if they have to make concessions.

The survey was conducted on October 21-23, 2022 by the method of computer-assisted telephone interviews (CATI) based on a random sample of mobile phone numbers.
A total of 1000 respondents from all regions of Ukraine, except the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, were interviewed.
Formally, under normal circumstances, the statistical error of such a sample (with a probability of 0.95 and taking into account the design effect of 1.1) did not exceed 3.4% for indicators close to 50%, 3.0% for indicators close to 25%, 2.1% – for indicators close to 10%, 1.5% – for indicators close to 5%.

According to the survey, due to the war, almost 40% of Ukrainians have lost their jobs and are not working. 61% of people who had jobs before the war work.
