At least 1251 children have already suffered as a result of a full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Prosecutor General’s Office said .
“As of the morning of October 25, 2022, more than 1251 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 430 children were killed and more than 821 were injured of varying severity,” the department said in a Telegram statement.

“On October 24, as a result of shelling by the enemy of the village of Prymorske, Vasylivsky district, Zaporizhia region, a 12-year-old boy was wounded,” the prosecutor’s office said.
Children were reportedly the most affected in Donetsk region – 419, Kharkiv – 260, Kiev – 116, Mykolaiv – 77, Zaporizhia – 70, Chernihiv – 68, Luhansk – 64, Kherson – 57, Dnipropetrovsk – 31.
These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active hostilities, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

Due to the bombing and shelling by the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, as noted, 2677 educational institutions were damaged. 331 of them were completely destroyed.
