The total number of Ukrainians evacuated from dangerous regions and temporarily occupied and de-occupied territories over the past month reached about 18 thousand people. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine .

“In October, about 18 thousand Ukrainians were evacuated from dangerous regions, temporarily occupied and de-occupied territories. The pace of evacuation on the eve of winter remains high. Every day, about a thousand citizens leave for safer regions of central and western Ukraine,” the message says.

The ministry reminded that the mandatory evacuation from the Donetsk region is currently underway. In just a month, more than 5 thousand people left Donetsk region for safer regions of Ukraine, including more than 700 children and more than 500 people with disabilities.
“In total, about 1.1 million civilians were evacuated from the Donetsk region, including more than 131 thousand children and more than 24 thousand people with disabilities,” the Ministry of Integration notes.
However, the occupiers stopped passing evacuation vehicles from Kherson and Zaporizhia regions. In almost a month, only a small number of people managed to leave.
“More than 1.3 thousand people were evacuated from the Kherson region, about 1.4 thousand citizens from the Zaporizhia region,” the press service adds.

48 residents of the Slavic community of the Donetsk region were evacuated to French Nice. They will be provided with housing, food, and financial assistance for six months.
