In the newly liberated territories of Ukraine, about a thousand bodies of the dead were exhumed, the Ministry of Reintegration reported .

“The office of the Commissioner for missing persons Oleh Kotenko is working out locations in the territories just liberated from the occupiers. As a result of the search work, about a thousand bodies of dead heroes and civilians have already been exhumed. In particular, almost 450 in Izyum are at the site of one of the most massive graves,” the report said.

The Ministry of Reintegration stressed that “shocking facts of the occupiers’ atrocities are being revealed: among the dead, not only the military, but also civilians – adults and children.” But the exact data will become known only after the examination.
The work continues in cooperation with law enforcement agencies, pyrotechnicians and search groups created under the OVA.
“This is perhaps the most difficult segment of our search activity. Thank you all for your courage and endurance!” – said Oleg Kotenko.
