In his video address, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that every year on October 28 we celebrate the liberation of Ukraine from the Nazi occupiers and pay tribute to Ukrainians who fought and defeated Nazism during the Second World War .

He also said that sooner or later memories of a terrible war become a terrible reality.
“The neighbor becomes the aggressor. The aggressor becomes a terrorist. And Nazism becomes an example to follow. He may come in a new mask, with new slogans, but for the same purpose. Unfortunately, we don’t know this from books. We know how evil can break into your home in the last century and eight years and eight months ago. Violate the western borders or come from the north, east and annexed Crimea. Shell peaceful cities with high-explosive bombs or cruise missiles. The President noted that the form of evil had become different, but the essence remained unchanged. He also added that evil always starts in the same way. The invaders call themselves liberators. The invasion of his army is self-defense. Like 80 years ago, Ukrainian people stand up for the defense of their native land. And the hostile blitzkrieg plan becomes a failure.

The occupied territory becomes free. This has always been the case in the past, it will definitely be so in the future. In the future of Kherson, Donbass, Lugansk, Crimea. Because always our land becomes free. Resistance becomes pride. The fight becomes a victory. And Ukraine is becoming united!”
Today, Russia’s only tactic has become terror. Zelenskyy noted that the only possible finale to such tactics would be defeat.
“Terror was proof of their weakness and a test for our resilience. We will not be broken by shelling. The worst thing about enemy missiles in our skies is to hear the enemy anthem on our land. We will not be frightened by the dark. The darkest times for us are not without light, but without freedom. Our military is strong, our volunteers are tireless, our partners are reliable, and our people are indestructible. The world’s second army will be getting smaller. The enemy’s losses will become more and more. I am sure that enemy propaganda does not work, provocations do not work, threats do not scare. Any difficult winter will not scare us. We know that the darkest night becomes dawn. We know that all invaders are fleeing our land in the same way. Gauleiters and self-appointed “governors” end up equally. Reichskommissariats and quasi-republics die in the same way. And all our cities will definitely have our flags. And the Junkers and kamikaze drones fall the same way.
