Budanov also pointed out that most of the forces of the terrorist country located in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region are airborne troops, special forces and marines. These are the most combat-ready units that are in Russia. These units form the backbone of the group, which is also reinforced by the mobilized.
“The combat component, that is, units that can pose any danger to us, is about 40 thousand. Kherson is located in the middle of this group. These are troops in Kherson, in the areas of the western bank of the Dnieper, as well as troops stationed on the eastern shore,” Budanov said.
What they say in the South Defense Forces
Commenting on the words of the Head of the Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, Natalia Gumeniuk, spokeswoman of the Defense Forces of the South, pointed out on the air of the telethon that “we still adhere to the rule not to be tied to calendars. But in any case, when we are asked when Kherson will be liberated, it will be a bright date, which we will still choose. Now we are continuing our combat work and are really preparing for appropriate measures. Including the release of the regional center directly.”
“But let me remind you once again that a military operation called a “defensive operation” against the Defense Forces of Ukraine, it requires an information silence regime. And I understand that everyone wants to know when this will happen. But I want to assure everyone when this happens – it will become known,” Gumeniuk stressed.

Russian troops took their military equipment from the airfield in Chornobaivka, Kherson region, as evidenced by satellite images. The StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted on this occasion that since the beginning of the occupation of the Kherson region, even the constant destruction of Russian equipment by the Armed Forces of Ukraine at this airport was not a reason for them to leave their position.
