“From today, the Code of Administrative Offenses is supplemented by a new article 121-3 “Violation of the requirements of the legislation on the use of vehicle license plates” and amendments are being made to the Law of Ukraine “On Road Traffic”, the message says.

The article consists of three parts that establish liability for violation of the rules for the use of license plates by vehicle drivers.
Under part one of Article 121-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, vehicle drivers will be held accountable for driving or operating a car:
➖ without a license plate;
➖ with a license plate that does not belong to this product or does not meet the established samples or requirements;
➖ with a license plate fixed in a place not established for this purpose;
➖ inverted or unlit license plate;
➖ closed other objects (including transparent);
➖ with the application of coating or the use of materials that impede or impede its identification;
➖ contaminated license plate, if such contamination does not make it possible to clearly identify the symbols or alphanumeric combination of the license plate from a distance of 20 meters;
➖ intentional actions aimed at hiding the license plate.
The sanction for violation of part one of this article provides for the imposition of a fine in the amount of 1190 UAH.
Part two of Article 121-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses provides for the introduction of administrative responsibility for driving or operating a vehicle with illegally installed license plates of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the State Emergency Service, the State Special Transport Service, the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection or diplomatic missions, consulates and other international organizations that enjoy full and partial immunity.
The sanction for violation of part two of this article provides for the imposition of a fine in the amount of 2550 UAH.
Part three of Article 121-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses provides for liability for the recurrence of illegal use of license plates of state bodies and diplomatic missions during the year.
The sanction for violation of part three of this article provides for the imposition of a fine in the amount of 5100 UAH with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of 3 to 6 months.
At the same time, the provisions on violations related to the use of license plates contained in part six of Article 121 of the Code of Administrative Offenses are no longer valid.
