The Minister pointed out that the second stage of medical reform, which began on April 1, 2020, provided for the provision of medical institutions with generators “without fail before concluding an agreement with the NHSU.” And it happened.
However, the war revealed the problem of insufficient power of generators, since some of them could only provide for the operation of individual departments, and not the entire hospital.

“During the war, only the Ministry of Health has already delivered 400 powerful diesel generators to healthcare facilities, plus WHO has provided another 170, and now we are working out an additional supply of 1100 generators with the World Bank,” Lyashko said.
According to him, some generators will be for hospitals that do not have inpatient medical care, including primary care facilities, the other part will increase capacity so that medical institutions can fully function without centralized power supply for a long time.
Supplement
