Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba on behalf of Ukraine reacted to the riots in the US capital.
“I am concerned about the events in Washington. I am confident that American democracy will meet this challenge. The rule of law and democratic procedures must be restored as soon as possible. This is important not only for the United States, but also for Ukraine and the entire democratic world, ” Kuleba wrote on Twitter.

On January 6 in Washington, supporters of President Trump, dissatisfied with the election results on November 3, tried to break into the Capitol building, where a joint session of the two chambers of the US Congress was held.
The riots killed 4 people, including a Trump supporter who was shot and killed by a Capitol guard. Police dispersed the protesters and detained at least 13 people.
