Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories Iryna Vereshchuk called on the social protection authorities to accelerate payments to internally displaced persons on the eve of winter .

It is noted that 147,400 internally displaced persons in the Kyiv region receive social payments on time. At the same time, the Ministry of Reintegration receives numerous appeals from citizens to whom they are detained.
“On the eve of winter, we must speed up all payments of IDPs as much as possible. Social protection is our face. We need to take care of the migrants. Therefore, no technical reasons can be an obstacle in the appointment and payment of cash assistance,” the official said.
It is also emphasized that the recent introduction of the Unified Social Information System allows to centralize the appointment of payments for IDPs. Due to this, cases in the system must be transferred automatically. According to the results of the meeting, the Ministry of Social Policy was instructed to summarize all problematic issues and conduct appropriate trainings among employees of social protection bodies.
