Today, hourly blackouts have been introduced in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv and Poltava regions. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo .

“Today, on November 6, the Dispatch Center of NPC Ukrenergo provided distribution network operators (oblenergos) with volumes to limit power supply to consumers in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, Zhytomyr, Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava regions. Hourly outage schedules have been put into effect,” the message reads.
Details
As noted, power outages are needed to reduce the load on the networks, ensure sustainable balancing of the power system and avoid repeated accidents after the power grid was damaged by rocket attacks and attacks by Russian drones.
Recall
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko does not deny that due to Russian shelling, the capital may be in complete blackout, as well as be left without heat, water and communication. He urged Kyiv residents to be prepared for different scenarios.
