Pope Francis once again commented on the full-scale Russian invasion. According to him, the war unleashed by Russia against Ukraine can be ended with a dialogue without the use of weapons.
The pontiff, addressing those present at the general audience, called for a choice of the path of dialogue.

“I think about a crazy war, the victim of which was an exhausted Ukraine, and many other conflicts that will never be resolved by the infantile logic of weapons, but only by the soft power of dialogue,” he said.

Francis, referring to his recent trip to Bahrain, reiterated the need for dialogue: “In Bahrain – as is customary in the East – people put their hand to their hearts when they greet someone. I also did this to make room within myself for those I met. Because without acceptance, the dialogue remains empty, it remains a matter of ideas, not reality,” he added.
Recall
During a trip to Kazakhstan, Pope Francis said that it was a mistake to call the conflict in Ukraine a Russian-Ukrainian war, since in fact it is a world war.
Besides, recently more and more often calls have been made to Ukraine about the importance of dialogue with Russia.
