Anton Yatsenko, a non-factional people’s deputy, was among those deputies who disrupted the meeting of the parliamentary committee on the organization of state power, at which they were to consider a bill on depriving deputies of banned parties. People’s Deputy Oleh Dunda believes that Yatsenko joined the riot, because he has ties to the Party of Regions and OPZZh.

Dunda explained the rebellion of deputies who were previously part of the “Opposition Platform – for Life” by the fact that they are afraid of losing their people in local authorities, whose support they need in the event of a coup.
“They (Russians, – ed.) tried to rely on the so-called former parliamentary faction – the OPZZh party. That they will become the future of such a puppet government, pro-Russian in Ukraine, which will lead the government and allegedly legitimize military aggression by the Russian empire. It failed, but those people who were supposed to lead it – and this is OPZZh, first of all – they remain in the session hall and remain in the city councils. Which leaves the risks of rebellions and coups. And in order for them to do this, they also need local deputies. Why is there such fierce resistance? Because when there is a rebellion and a coup directly in Kiev, they need to have people on the ground and in the regions who have some powers and mandates there. For them to support it. Because if there is a coup in Kyiv, and the regions do not support it, this is an unsuccessful coup. Accordingly, I understand why Boyko and the company are fighting for it so much and are trying to leave the mandate by any means,” Dunda added.

The Committee on the Organization of State Power was unable to consider a bill to deprive deputies of banned parties of seats due to the fact that a number of deputies left the meeting and left the committee without a quorum.
Yatsenko, who was previously in the now banned Party of Regions, also skipped the last meeting of the Committee, where this draft law was to be considered. It should be noted that Yatsenko joined the committee of state power only on October 6, after the draft law on depriving deputies of seats was sent there.
Yatsenko himself has already been called upon to draw up a mandate. Such a statement was made by a former prisoner of the Kremlin, and now the first deputy chairman of the Cherkasy regional council Roman Sushchenko. He also demanded that Yatsenko be checked for collaborationism.
