The next meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government will take place on 11-12 July 2023 in the Lithuanian city of Vilnius. This was announced by Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance Jens Stoltenberg .

“I am pleased to announce that the next meeting of NATO Heads of State and Government will take place in Vilnius on July 11-12, 2023. (…) The meeting in Vilnius will allow us to agree on further steps to strengthen the policy of deterrence and defense, to consider a significant increase in defense spending, as well as to continue our support for Ukraine,” Stoltenberg said.

According to the Secretary General, the Alliance has faced the most complex and unpredictable security environment since the Cold War. According to him, as the era of increasing strategic rivalry has come, the transatlantic link between Europe and North America continues to be a decisive factor for the security of the billion people living in the territories of NATO countries.
“I am grateful to Lithuania for hosting our summit. Lithuania is a key ally in NATO. As a host country in a multinational battlegroup, Lithuania is helping to provide strong deterrence and defence for the entire Alliance. I hope for a successful summit in Vilnius in July 2023,” Stoltenberg said.

On November 9, Jens Stoltenberg will visit a military base in the United Kingdom, where Ukrainian military exercises are taking place.
