Zelenskyy said that the first and basic thing that happens after the de-occupation of territories is demining. The invaders leave behind thousands of mines and unexploded ordnance.
“I have often heard estimates that clearing Ukraine of Russian mines will take decades of time. We can’t wait that much. We have to do things in years that could have happened somewhere else in the world decades after the fighting.”
