According to statistics, as of the beginning of 2021, Ukraine ranked 41st among 110 countries in the international ranking of passports. Citizens of our country can now travel to 130 countries without a visa.
Last year Ukraine had 43rd place in the ranking, while a total of 128 countries participated in the study.
Among the leaders in the issue of visa-free travel in the first place is Japan. Citizens of this country can visit 191 countries without visas. In second place – Singapore with 190 countries, and the third place was taken by two countries at once – Germany and South Korea. Citizens of these countries can visit 189 countries on all continents without visas.
The issuance of a biometric passport has become more expensive. According to the LCA, the new prices for all types of biometrics are valid from January 1, 2021. They are as follows: from January 1, to issue a foreign plastic passport, which entitles our citizens to visit other countries, will cost 342 hryvnias. Foreigners who want to obtain a residence permit in our country – permanent or temporary, will have to pay 315 hryvnias to the budget. Finally, the issuance of an ordinary biometric passport of a citizen of Ukraine now costs 237 hryvnias.
