Sapronov noted that he knew what the results in sports were worth, because he himself was vice-president in the Ukrainian Tennis and Golf Federations, as well as a member of the NOC. According to him, honesty and openness are important for Ukraine today, and this is exactly what Zhan Belenyuk is.

“On November 17, elections of the President of the NOC will be held in Ukraine. For 17 years, the President was Mr. S.N. Bubka. (…) The Olympics are the peak of the sport of the highest sports achievements.
This is blood and sweat, cosmic loads, moderate self-discipline every day for 4 years, for the sake of one decisive start. Today, in my opinion, openness, transparency and publicity are extremely important for Ukraine. Honesty. Lack of backstage.
I ask you to support the candidacy of Jean Belenyuk. An open, honest, moral person,” the entrepreneur wrote.
At the same time, Sapronov stressed that another candidate for the post of President of the National Olympic Committee, the current Minister of Youth and Sports Vadym Huttsait, has not yet demonstrated his program, in contrast to Belenyuk.
“I really don’t like that Vadym Gutzait avoids public discussion, does not come to debates, does not answer calls from journalists. Vadim, you are also a champion! Come to the public debate, one-on-one. People want to see the discussion – open, transparent, without bills.
Argument against argument. You are first of all an athlete, a champion, and then an official. I saw Belenyuk’s public program, where to read yours?” asked Guttsaita Sapronov.
Recall
On November 13, a debate was to be held at the Olympic base in Koncha-Zaspa between candidates for the post of president of the NOC, Jean Belenyuk, and the current Minister of Youth and Sports Vadim Gutzait, but the latter did not appear at the event.
