President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that the reparations that Russia will have to pay for what he has done are now part of the international legal reality .

“At the UN site, our diplomats have been working with partners for a very long time to agree and adopt two very important resolutions. The first of them today (November 14 – ed.) was supported – on the creation of an international compensation mechanism that will allow to compensate for all the losses caused by the Russian war, and at the expense of Russian assets. The reparations that Russia will have to pay for what it has done are now part of the international legal reality. The second resolution – to create a special tribunal on the crime of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine – is still agreed with our partners. We will do everything to make them both work,” Zelenskyy said.

The UN General Assembly adopted a resolution according to which a mechanism should be created for Russia to pay reparations for the unleashed war in Ukraine.
94 countries voted for it. Against – 14 and 73 – abstained. The draft resolution was prepared by Ukraine with the co-authorship of almost fifty countries.

Russia will pay for all its crimes in every sense – including reparations. Thus, in Telegram, Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak reacted to the adoption of the UN General Assembly resolution on reparations for Ukraine.
