The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine asks the parliaments of the world to recognize the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine as genocide. This was announced by MP Oleksiy Honcharenko .

The appeal of the Verkhovna Rada No. 8199 to the parliaments of the states of the world regarding the recognition of the Holodomor of 1932-1933 as a genocide of the Ukrainian people was supported by 310 people’s deputies.
“Now Ukraine is once again suffering from Russia’s aggression, so it is important to remind the world of these terrible lessons of history and honor the memory of all those who died as a result of the criminal policy of the totalitarian regime,” the MP said.

This and next year marks the 90th anniversary of one of the most terrible events for our people — the Holodomor of 1932-1933.
