Commenting on the work of American air defense systems in the context of a Russian missile hitting Poland, Austin said the United States would work with Poland to gather more information about the explosion.

Polish President Andrzej Duda said that both Poland and the United States should agree to Ukraine’s participation in the investigation of a missile drop in a Polish border village, killing two people.
Duda said about the incident with the fall of the rocket that there was no indication that it was a deliberate attack on Poland. And that “a lot indicates that it was an air defense missile, which, unfortunately, fell on the territory of Poland.”
According to NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, there is no indication that the fall of a missile in Poland was the result of a deliberate attack. And that “preliminary analysis shows that the incident was probably caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile, which was fired to protect the territory of Ukraine from attacks by Russian cruise missiles.”
Ukraine stands for a joint study of the incident with the fall of a rocket in Poland and asks for immediate access to the site of the explosion.
