11,129 children were illegally deported to Russia, of which 103 children were returned. This was stated during a briefing by Yaroslav Shanko, deputy head of the Juvenile Prevention Department of the National Police .

According to him, under martial law, the issue of safety and protection of children has become particularly relevant.
“State institutions are currently developing mechanisms, as well as their legal consolidation in the legislation of Ukraine on the return of these children. Illegal deportation, premeditated murders, sexual violence against adults and children are not the whole list of criminal acts of Russian invaders against the Ukrainian population,” the law enforcement officer said.
