In the de-occupied territories of the Kherson region, more than 2.5 thousand explosive objects were found and neutralized. This was announced by spokeswoman of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Alyona Matveeva during a briefing .

“Pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service and the explosive services of the National Police examined more than 50 hectares of land, inspected more than 80 km of power lines, and also examined more than 200 km of roads and 19 km of gas pipeline. In total, more than 2.5 thousand explosive objects were found and neutralized,” she said.

According to the spokeswoman, before leaving Kherson, the Russian military not only undermined bridge crossings, but also made every effort to ensure that the critical infrastructure of the region, in particular energy supply and gas supply, did not work.
She noted that stabilization measures are currently being carried out on the territory of the Kherson region – inspection of territories and demining.

Minister of Internal Affairs Denys Monastyrskyi said that currently more than 170 thousand square kilometers of territory remain mined in Ukraine.
