Russia is likely to try to transfer part of the troops withdrawn from Kherson to the Bakhmut area in the Donetsk region.
Details
As noted, after the withdrawal of troops from the western bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region, the Russian occupiers continue to pay considerable attention to the re-equipment, reorganization and preparation of defense in most parts of Ukraine.
“The units have built new trench systems near the border with Crimea, as well as near the Siverskyi Donets River between Donetsk and Luhansk regions,” the message says.
Scouts said some of these locations were located up to 60 km from the current front line. This indicates that Russian troops are preparing for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the British Ministry of Defense added.
“It is likely that Russia will eventually try to transfer part of the forces withdrawn from Kherson to strengthen and expand its offensive operations near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region,” the message says.
