Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said the recent tragic incident in Poland was the result of massive Russian attacks on Ukrainian cities. He stated this during a briefing in Kyiv with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal .

“The recent tragic incident in Poland is the result of a massive wave of missile attacks on Ukrainian cities by Russia aimed at civilians and civilian infrastructure. These attacks are a flagrant violation of international law. Russia must end its illegal war. The European Union remains steadfast in its support for the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and its inalienable right to self-defense against Russia’s aggression in accordance with the UN charter,” he said.
