Kyiv and the Kyiv region were transferred to emergency power outages – without observing the previously published schedules, local authorities report to the service provider company .

“By order of NPC Ukrenergo, emergency power outages are taking place in Kyiv on November 18. The schedules of stabilization outages are not currently in force,” the KCSA said.
And they added that during a blackout, electric sirens do not work.
Emergency blackouts in Kyiv and Kyiv region were also reported by DTEK, which provides services in the region.
“There are emergency blackouts in the region. The schedules of emergency outages drawn up earlier are currently irrelevant,” says DTEK Kyiv Regional Grids website.

In the morning, Ukrenergo reported that hourly shutdown schedules had been introduced throughout Ukraine, but emergency ones could also be applied.
