Adviser to the Head of the President’s Office Mykhailo Podolyak told AFP in an interview what weapons Ukraine needs to win .

“We still need 150-200 tanks, about 300 armored vehicles, a hundred artillery systems, 50-70 multiple launch rocket systems, including formidable American HIMARS, of which Ukraine already has several units, as well as 10-15 missile systems, aviation defense systems, to close the sky,” Podolyak said.
He also mentioned American ATACMS missiles, which have a range of 300 kilometers. The range of weapons that Ukraine now has at its disposal barely exceeds 80 kilometers.
According to Podolyak, such missiles would “bring the end of the war closer”, allowing Ukraine to “destroy large Russian military depots” located deep in the occupied areas, which are currently unavailable.
Kiev “does not need” to attack military targets inside Russia, the adviser said.
“The war will end when we regain control of our borders and when Russia is afraid of Ukraine,” Podolyak said.
