Now, with the help of Western partners, we are strengthening the air defense of the ground forces. Although some of the installations are similar to the Soviet ones, they have a modern radar warfare system that effectively counteracts enemy targets. This was told at a briefing by the spokesman of the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Yuri Ignat .

Also, the air defense Ukrainian is armed with one Iris T installation, as Ignat noted, German industry promises to supply additional such installations that will create one unit. He will be able to cover a plot of about 100 km.
“We received the Hawk complex. Although it is morally and physically outdated, it is able to effectively work out on kamikaze drones. If we take into account, our air defense complexes – S-300 and “Buk-M1″ – are complexes of the 70s and 80s, which are also physically and morally outdated. Therefore, everything that the partners provide will eventually fit in order to protect the Ukraine,” Ignat added.
