After the explosions at the oil terminal in the Novorossiysk Black Sea Fleet, the Russian Federation can no longer feel safe even on Russian territory. This was reported on Twitter by intelligence of the British Ministry of Defense .

Intelligence officers recalled how on November 18, the media reported on an attack on an oil terminal in the port of Novorossiysk. Near the oil terminal there is a large base of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation.
As noted, the Black Sea Fleet moved many of its submarine operations to Novorossiysk after Ukraine struck their base in Sevastopol in the occupied Crimea in the summer.
“The Russian command is likely to be concerned about the threats to the flotilla of landing ships, which is based in Novorossiysk. These vessels are relatively vulnerable unaccompanied and play a more important role in supplying Russian forces to Ukraine after the damage to the Crimean bridge in October,” the intelligence said.
All details of this incident are unknown, but any demonstration of Ukraine’s ability to threaten Novorossiysk is likely to be a further strategic challenge for the Black Sea Fleet, the UK Ministry of Defense added.
“It will also further undermine Russia’s already reduced maritime influence in the Black Sea,” intelligence officials said.
