Today, Ukraine commemorates the people who died as a result of the downing of an UIA plane in Tehran on January 8, 2020.
On the occasion of the anniversary, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement together with Afghanistan, Sweden, Great Britain and Canada.
The countries said that Iran would be held accountable for its actions. Tehran is also expected to explain the actions that killed 176 people.
The plane of Ukraine International Airlines was shot down by two missiles fired by the Iranian military.
The Foreign Ministry expressed condolences to the families of the victims who lost their loved ones. Iran must pay compensation to affected families and countries.
