Despite problems with energy supply, nine organ transplantation surgeries from posthumous donors were performed in Lviv within 30 hours. This was reported on Facebook by the Ministry of Health of Ukraine .

“In Lviv, nine transplants from posthumous donors were carried out within 30 hours,” the message says.
In just over a day, transplantologists transplanted two hearts, a liver and six kidneys. For this purpose, teams of almost a hundred specialists worked.
In the Cherkasy Regional Oncology Center, two kidney transplant operations were performed. Two transplants took place almost simultaneously in one operating room. During this, the hospital switched to operating mode on generators.
“Even in regions where power supply has not been restored, doctors continue to do their job. You can leave us without light, without water, heat and communication, but Ukraine not overcome,” the Ministry of Health added.
