Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu announced a 1.5-fold increase in funding for the state defense order. At a meeting of the board of the military department, he said that this will make it possible to ensure the formation and military units of constant readiness with weapons and equipment at the level of 97% .

“In the next year, taking into account the budget funds that are additionally allocated, the amount of financing of the state defense order will increase by almost 1.5 times. This will make it possible to ensure that the units and military units are constantly ready with weapons and equipment at the level of 97%,” said the minister.

He added that it is necessary to preserve the maximum possible volume of production, to organize anticipatory supplies to the troops. According to him, the measures taken will ensure the implementation of the state defense order at the level of “at least 99%”.
