Due to the attacks carried out by the Russian Federation on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, GDP is expected to fall by the end of the year. This was announced at a briefing by the First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko .

“At the beginning of the year, we predicted that the economic decline would be at the level of 32-33%. In the future, the economy showed very high adaptive abilities. Our business, fortunately for us, adapts well. But given the attack on the energy system, some enterprises stopped and this worsened our prospects. Unfortunately, we have returned to our previous forecast and by the end of the year the fall in GDP may be 32-33.5%,” Svyrydenko said.
