Ukraine aims to implement by the end of the year the recommendations of the European Commission, which is part of the path to EU membership, said Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak, quoted by the press service of the Presidential Office .

The Head of the Presidential Office said this at a meeting with the delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee and the Subcommittee on Security and Defense of the European Parliament, which arrived in Ukraine.

It is also reported that Yermak expressed hope for the political leadership of the European Parliament in supporting the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine.
In addition, Ukraine counts on the support of the ten-point peace formula proposed by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his speech at the Group of Twenty summit.
The Head of the Office of the President also expressed hope for the support of the European Parliament in the process of further strengthening of sanctions against Russia.
“It is great that at a time when the war has such great consequences for Ukraine, it is ready to explain its formula of peace and how it will use it in reality after the war. No one can say that Ukraine does not want peace,” said Natalie Loiseau, Chairman of the Subcommittee on Security and Defense of the European Parliament, following the meeting.
Deputy Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the European Parliament Urmas Paet expressed the opinion that the EU countries will take the next steps to apply for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union extremely quickly.
“We see what is happening in Ukraine, especially in recent months. It is clear to us that for European security we need a strong Ukraine,” he stressed.
