During the meeting, Marchenko signed an agreement with a credit institution for reconstruction (KfW), as well as a separate agreement to the grant agreement within the framework of the program to support the resilience of internally displaced persons in Ukraine.
Marchenko noted that 200 million euros of grant funds will help the Government of Ukraine to continue to support individuals and families who, as a result of Russian military aggression, were forced to leave their homes and temporarily leave for safer regions of Ukraine.
Marchenko noted that since the beginning of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, the Government of Germany has attracted 1.5 billion euros (including a grant of 200 million euros). These funds are used to provide budget support for priority social expenditures and expenditures in the field of education and health care, assistance to IDPs, as well as support for state programs for lending to small and medium-sized businesses in Ukraine.
“Anka Feldhusen assured that Germany would continue to support Ukraine’s efforts in the fight against the aggressor,” the message says.
