Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba said that he had met with the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross Mirjana Spoliarych in Kyiv and called on her to help with the release of Ukrainian prisoners of war and the return of Ukrainian children deported by the occupiers for adoption in Russia .

“I met with ICRC President Mirjana Spoliarić in Kyiv to thank the ICRC for its assistance and to emphasize the need to release our prisoners of war,” Kuleba said on Twitter.
The Foreign Minister also called on the ICRC to “help us stop one of Russia’s most flattering crimes – the forcible movement of Ukrainian children, bring them home and prevent their illegal adoption.

Recently, the Red Cross stated that they had visited prisoners of war held by Ukraine and Russia.
