Recommendations on how to choose a safe children’s toy, waiting for St. Nicholas Day, were given by the State Food and Consumer Service .
Parents as “assistants of St. Nicholas” are advised to pay attention not only to the appearance of the toy or its functionality, but also to the quality.

When buying a toy, it is recommended to pay attention:
- the presence of instructions and information on the safety of the toy;
- the words “Warning” and “Warning” precede warnings about the use of the toy. This also applies to small, toys sold without packaging. Check out what warnings the manufacturer noted.
- Age warnings should be clearly visible to the consumer. Especially be careful if you buy goods via the Internet;
- Information about goods is provided in the state language and may be duplicated in other languages.
A toy that has passed the conformity assessment procedure to technical regulations, as noted, is marked with a national conformity mark.
