In Kyiv, on December 19, the installation of the main Christmas tree of the country on Sofiyska Square is to be completed. No official opening is currently scheduled.

“December 19 should be completed (the installation of the Christmas tree – ed.),” Dobrutsky said.
According to him, there will be no official opening. However, Dobrutsky added that if there is still an opening, it will be remote. He said that the format of remote opening is determined by the KCSA.
“By Saturday, it will be known,” Dobrutsky said.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that this year the main Christmas tree of Ukraine will be artificial and with energy-saving garlands that will work from the generator. It will be installed traditionally on Sophia Square.
Serhii Kovalenko, CEO of DTEK D.Solutions sub-holding, said that the main Christmas tree of Ukraine this year would be “as energy-responsible as possible.”
