As a result of today’s attack by Shahed drones, Ukraine’s energy infrastructure facilities were not damaged. This was reported by the press service of Ukrenergo .
Details
“Wednesday, December 14, began with a massive drone attack. Thanks to the brilliant work of the air defense forces, the energy infrastructure facilities were not damaged – all 13 UAVs were shot down,” Ukrenergo said.
As noted, on December 13, due to the launch of another unit at the nuclear power plant, it was possible not to use emergency shutdowns to balance the power system.
“But the situation in the energy system of Ukraine is still difficult due to the large amount of damage in the energy infrastructure. There is a significant shortage of electricity,” the message says.
The most difficult situation in the east is that due to almost daily shelling, energy facilities are constantly damaged. Repair work is slowing down due to the danger to the lives of repairmen, Ukrenergo added.
Recall
In the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kyiv, the wreckage of downed Shahed kamikaze drones hit one administrative building, and four more residential buildings have minor damage. There are no casualties.
